Xumin Duan Acupuncturist
Xumin Duan graduated from the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Mr. Duan was introduced to acupuncture at a young age by his uncle, an acupuncturist. Furthermore, he began learning acupuncture in a clinic before entering university. After graduating, he combined both his clinical internship in China, Beijing Gulou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and working at Dong Ba Second Community Health Service Center in Chaoyang District, Beijing. Mr. Duan has accumulated nearly 20 years of clinical experience. During his 20 years of clinical practice, Xumin Duan witnessed many middle-aged and elderly patients with sub-healthy conditions—conditions that didn’t require hospitalization or surgery but nonetheless interfered with their basic well-being. These included, but were not limited to, insomnia, chronic use of sleeping pills, stomach acid, bloating, loss of appetite, itchy skin, asthma, and headache. Those symptoms that are not acute but nonetheless impact basic health. Mr. Duan continuously refines acupuncture techniques and deepens ancient Chinese medicine knowledge in his clinical practice. He effectively integrated ancient acupuncture theory with modern clinical treatment, helping many patients overcome their dependence on medication.
